Groundwater fluctuations, soil saturation and chemical composition can significantly alter corrosion rates throughout a structure\u2019s service life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A thorough assessment therefore considers soluble salts, soil resistivity, groundwater levels, drainage conditions and groundwater flow. These factors must be analysed together.
