Micropiles in photovoltaic plants.Well-constructed. Fully tested. Optimized. In that order.

At @OrbisTerrarum, we are conducting a 100-micropile test in #France, a critical step to confirm the actual bearing capacity of soft and hard soils and refine the structural foundation design. The micropiles are installed using concrete, ensuring that the results accurately reflect the real behavior of the piles in the field, including lateral friction, end – bearing resistance, and load transfer.
The procedure involves:
- Controlled installation following the preliminary design, with precise monitoring of diameter and length.
- Measurement of lateral and vertical loads through static tests, assessing soil-pile friction and foundation resistance.
- Data analysis to adjust diameter, lengths, and pile types, optimizing material use and overall costs.
- Verification of installation methods and refinement of procedures before full-scale execution, reducing the risk of failure or overdesign.
These test allow us to:
- Confirm resistance according to real ground conditions.
- Fine-tune pile dimensions and spacing, maximizing resource efficiency.
- Minimize execution risks and ensure foundation reliability.
Partnering with Orbis, a technical expert with international experience, ensures that every design decision is backed by accurate data and thorough analysis, turning geotechnical insights into efficiency, safety, and measurable cost savings.
