Empirical Correlation of Shear-Wave Velocity (Vs) with Madrid Soils

The Applied Geophysics Department at Orbis, in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and the Geotechnical Laboratory of the Centre for Studies and Experimentation of Public Works (CEDEX), presents a study on the possibility of determining the stiffness and deformability of Madrid soils via empirical correlations between Vs and the Standard Penetration Test (NSPT). The study was presented at the Geological Engineering and Geotechnical Investigations session held in Barcelona from September 4th to 8th during the 22nd European Meeting of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics (EAGE).
