Update of the Technical Specifications for Pile Driving and Pull-Out Tests in Photovoltaic Plant Foundations

After gaining experience in more than 35 GW of photovoltaic plants studied across the five continents, the In Situ Testing and Monitoring Department at Orbis has published the updated Technical Specifications for foundation testing of fixed-tilt structures and solar trackers using steel profiles.

This article presents Orbis’ proposal for the test procedure design, including the number of drives, test distribution, loads to be applied, as well as the interpretation of the results obtained.
