Biofuel Project.

@OrbisTerrarum has been entrusted with carrying out the geotechnical investigations for a major #Biofuel production project in #Spain, a milestone aligned with the energy transition and circular economy. 

The scope of work integrates several complementary techniques to deliver a complete picture of subsurface conditions: 

• Boreholes, continuous information at depth, providing essential data for safe foundation design. 
• Trial pits, direct observation of soil layers, material identification, and representative sampling. 
• Geophysical surveys, mapping of lateral variability, seismic velocities, dynamic parameters and hidden heterogeneities. 
• Penetration tests (CPT/DPSH), assessment of soil strength, density, and bearing capacity under structural loads. 

This combined approach ensures reliable ground characterization, optimized foundation strategies, and early risk mitigation, supporting informed decision-making from the very first stages of the project. 

Being selected for such a complex assignment highlights the trust placed in Orbis Terrarum’s expertise and its ability to transform ground data into practical engineering solutions for large-scale industrial and energy facilities.
