Advance Geotechnical Studies

@Orbis Terrarum develops highly specialized numerical studies to assess settlements caused by the construction of Horizontal Directional Drilling for electricity and power lines under existing railways or roads, ensuring the safety of the works and providing the technical basis required for project validation by authorities and administrations.

These studies help to reduce uncertainty and supports better engineering decisions in projects located near sensitive infrastructure. 

To achieve this goal, geotechnical studies are complemented with stress–strain model using the finite element method (FEM) or applying the finite difference software FLAC3D to simulate ground behavior and soil–structure interaction during the construction process. Those analysis are developed in collaboration with the Ground Engineering  Department of the Politechnic University of Madrid.
