Energy storage Development

@Orbis Terrarum has completed 25+ BESS storage projects across Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom during 2026.

Against this european backdrop, Spain is entering a new phase of energy storage development. The country launched its updated Energy Storage Roadmap in June 2026, with nearly 25,000 MW of projects in development.

Behind every BESS project is a site with its own ground conditions, water levels, drainage requirements and foundation constraints. Geotechnical investigations, geophysical surveys, hydrological analysis and corrosion assessments need to be coordinated from the early stages.

Orbis performs these studies to define site characteristics, translating ground characterization into concrete design criteria that inform site selection, foundation strategy, and risk management.
